Embody began by recognizing a previously unsolved problem: The lack of physical harmony between humans and their technology. Spending too much time interacting with our various devices, just moving our fingers, can make us stiff and tired, as our bodies are built to move. With Embody, designers Bill Stumpf and Jeff Weber set out to solve this problem. <\/h4>\n

The moment you sit down, you feel Embody’s Pixelated Support – you feel like you’re swimming, but with perfect balance. Thanks to a dynamic pixel matrix, Embody’s seat and back surfaces automatically adapt to your body’s micro-movements and distribute your weight evenly when you sit. This reduces pressure and encourages movement, both important for maintaining healthy circulation and focus. <\/p>\n

Back fit adjustment<\/h4>\n

Embody’s back is designed like a human back, with a central spine and flexible ribs. The back alignment adjustment allows you to position the backrest according to the natural curve of your spine, so you achieve a neutral, balanced posture. Once the chair is adjusted to fit you, the backrest adapts to your movement and automatically adjusts to your changing positions. Whether you lean forward or recline, the support remains constant. <\/p>\n

Layers of intelligence<\/h4>\n

The Embody chair is made up of four different support layers, each with its own material properties and each created through a different manufacturing process; they all work together, orienting themselves to your shape with such a high degree of fidelity that they even make room for pockets. These layers are designed for airflow, keeping you cool and comfortable while you sit. <\/p>\n
