How wonderful the years between the 1950s and 1960s were, when there was a desire for change, to rebuild this little ancient world. In 1970, for the exhibition “Shapes and colors in today’s houses” at the Villa Olmo in Como, Zanotta metaphorically reproduced the “spring metal armchair” called “Mezzadro”, designed by the brothers Achille and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni in 1957 (together with the Sella armchair, in production since 1983).<\/p>\n
Mezzadro is a loud and clear message of freedom to define the domestic spatial environment.<\/p>\n
