At the heart of the design of Fluid Joinery – Side Table I is its transparency, where reflections and play of colors emerge in its organic and irregular shape. This monolithic coffee table is made from a single volume of glass, mouth-blown into a cast iron mould and shaped by hand, a highly complex artisanal process carried out in Veneto.<\/p>\n
Shaping the Fluid Joinery – Side Table I volumes, characterized by varying thicknesses and irregular shifts, posed a significant production challenge for Cassina. Particularly complex techniques were applied to create a base that could support the top volume and the engravings on the top surface.<\/p>\n
Glass is a material that Linde enjoys experimenting with through fascinating processes that transform it from liquid to solid. She is particularly fascinated by its ambiguity, as it becomes even more architectural when hot, its fluidity allowing the creation of sculptural pieces.<\/p>\n
Fluid Joinery – Coffee Table I is available in a single size designed to support the combination of multiple pieces and in three color variants created with different layers of transparent and colored glass sheets: smoked, amber and blue. As it is a completely handmade process, slight irregularities may occur, making this object even more unique and precious.<\/p>\n
