The Cantle collection is based on equestrian inspiration. The term “cantle” refers to the back of the saddle, which is usually curved and provides the rider with a secure and comfortable seat. In the seat designed by Lavit, the back thus takes the shape of a circle arc that wraps around the body and determines its posture.
Both the back and the seat are fixed on V-shaped brackets, supported by a steel frame that follows a strikingly sophisticated silhouette. The same element not only characterizes the collection, but also makes it possible to reduce material consumption by removing the padding behind the back: a detail made of leather and fabric, enriched by double-sided upholstery sewn together, a savoir-faire element that evokes tailoring elegance.
