Alvar Aalto
Hugo Alvar Henrik Aalto was born in Helsinki in 1898. One of the 20th century’s greatest architects, Aalto designed furniture, textiles and glassworks. Throughout his fifty-year career, he designed using Scandinavian, Rational modernism influences. He took care of the furniture, glass and lighting of the buildings he architected.
