Gio Ponti
Architect, designer and artist Gio Ponti was born in Milan in 1891. In 1927, Ponti founded Il Labirinto together with Lancia, Buzzi, Marelli, Venini and Chiesa to produce high quality furniture and objects. During his lifetime, Ponti was a major supporter of the Monza Biennale, the Milan Triennial, the Compasso d’Oro Awards and ADI (Association for the Industrial Design).
