Warm, grounded, balanced and flexible in the ways it can be used: Corker is one of those universal talents that looks good as an extra seat or side table in any setting.
Corker is available in three sizes and plays with its nature not only in its name but also in its design: The silhouette of a wine bottle cork was the inspiration. The piece of furniture can almost be seen as a pop art object because of its direct, simply magnified reference to an object taken from everyday culture.
Corker appeared at the London Serpentine Gallery Pavilion 2012. The design of the temporary summer pavilion was a joint project between the architectural office Herzog & de Meuron and Chinese artist, designer and architect Ai Weiwei. The mushroom design object was part of the overall concept.
