The Dike Bed is a new, luxurious and elegant range, an ambitious but highly balanced, soft and rational design that re-emphasizes the excellence and originality of Maxalto, a renewed desire for superior quality and authenticity.
The Dike Bed stands out for its unusually sized headboard, a distinctive element that creates a new category of furniture. Imagining two panels, each 2 meters high and 125 cm wide, Antonio Citterio completed the Dike with two movable wings, each connected by a hinge of equal height. This headboard becomes a stage prop or a structural element and is made even more sophisticated with upholstery. Dike uses a specially designed fabric; its texture is filled with an enhanced three-dimensional and visible texture that looks like a horizontal band-woven carpet, creating visual effects of light and color that gently transition into each other. The height of the bed is important and follows a certain concept for the bedroom.
The bed and headboard structure can also be covered with other fabrics from the Maxalto collection.
The Dike Headboard can also be used separately.
