ClassiCon, Forma table lamp: the body of this new interpretation of a classic table lamp is milled entirely in solid wood, with a sculptural yet simple look.
Created by German designer Christian Haas, who lives and works in Porto, the products are characterized by their timeless clarity and refined elegance.
The 1940s/50s archetype of a classic table lamp with an asymmetrical shade was often applied in cool materials like metal and glass. Christian Haas interprets this classic product in solid wood with the Forma design. The designer has reduced the original shape as much as possible without trivializing it, thus creating a flawless silhouette. The asymmetry of the base and the domed shade, made of a total of six glued strips of solid wood, make the design appear to grow organically. The natural warmth and sensuality of the naturally grown material gives the new luminaire its understated character. A dimmer switch is precisely positioned behind the lamp base and guarantees simple, intuitive operation.
The large, slightly curved shade with frosted glass insert and integrated, dimmable warm white LED ring provides a pleasant, intimate, glare-free light on the table surface, which facilitates focused work.
The fine ash or walnut wood from which the Forma is made emphasizes the elegant, restrained effect of the 340 mm high and 380 mm wide luminaire with its elegant grain and pleasant feel. The jersey is versatile and forms a beautiful figure not only on the table, but also on a sideboard or shelf in the living room and on the bedside table.
