Cut paper doll motifs created by the design duo Stefano Giovannoni and Guido Venturini, who go by the name King-Kong, adorn everyday objects in Girotondo stainless steel holders.
The cartoon men created by the King-Kong team are a symbol and icon of mirror-polished design based on the use of “emotional codes”, so much so that they are one of its most frequently quoted examples. “Standing men” appeared on objects like trays and baskets from the farthest corners of the Alessi tradition, and then multiplied, invaded and conquered other groups of objects, and not only in the kitchen and on the table.
