The Lampadina Table Lamp was created by renowned designer Achille Castiglioni for the leading Italian lighting company Flos. This combination of industrial influences and domestic style can be seen in many of Castiglioni’s works. While the naked bulb design may seem immediately striking, this simple concept hides many different features. The glass of the bulb has a sandblasted surface. This helps to create a very special, subtle kind of lighting, perhaps not expected from such a simple look. The aluminum base also functions as a cable winder, providing a more organized appearance.
