The Matéria Low Board series is characterized by its unusual dimensions and air of tranquility.
However, a closer look reveals its almost monochromatic appearance as the interplay of porous travertine stone and smoothly treated wood. Matéria evokes an intuitive urge to touch surfaces, to feel natural textures. Initially a purely experimental design by German designer Christian Haas, it was expanded into a trio in collaboration with ClassiCon. Matéria is available in three different sizes and currently in two finishes. Individually or in combination, the handmade low boards rightly stand out due to their materiality and reveal the sensory impact of reductionism.
