The well-known Merdolino is one of the most successful examples of the playful cartoon language typical of Stefano Giovannoni’s projects in the 1990s.
The designer becomes interested in a basic but “forbidden” item, a toilet brush, and without hesitation transforms it into a slender planter that houses a beautiful, tall bush. Merdolino caused a scandal among the traditional design fraternity, but has enjoyed enormous success over the years.
