Having offered the Coupé in a variety of different models and finishes over the years, Oluce is expanding the family this year with the introduction of the Mini Coupé, a smaller scale version of the table lamp, available in a stunning new contemporary color range. At 34 cm high and in all-new colors, the Mini Coupé brilliantly retains all the vibrancy of Joe Colombo’s designs from the 60s, when design aimed to fulfill a function as well as make an aesthetic statement, when new materials were experimented with. The use of color, movement and the desire to break new ground are the guiding lights of his creations.
With its chrome body and semi-cylindrical shade, the Mini Coupé retains the distinctive profile and bold character, now even more complete, that have defined the Coupé collection and have always made it an exceptionally modern lighting range. As a testament to its international success, a year after its creation it won the International Design Award from the American Institute of Interior Designers in Chicago and is included in the permanent collection of both MoMA in New York and the Neue Sammlung Museum in Munich.
