Kazuhiro Yamanaka’s first inspiration for Rainy Day came from the rain. “I really like the reflection it creates on the ground; it reminds me of a rainy day when puddles form and you can see the earth reflected in them,” the designer says of his inspiration. Rainy Day is also an easy lamp, a “nomad” lamp. You can put it on the floor, on the wall, on the table. If you put one on top of the other you can create columns of light. The circular lamp is easy to transport thanks to its 8 m long cable. Rainy Day is included in the permanent collection of the MoMA Museum of Modern Art in New York.
