Sciangai, 50, designed by the design trio De Pas, D’Urbino and Lomazzi in 1973 and winner of the Compasso d’Oro in 1979. Zanotta, in collaboration with Paolo Lomazzi, celebrates its anniversary by revisiting this iconic sling: with its bright and cheerful colors, each edition of the Sciangai 50 has a unique number and is a one-of-a-kind collection piece.
The Sciangai Foldable Hanging Rack was designed by the design trio De Pas, D’Urbino and Lomazzi in 1973 and won the Compasso d’Oro prize in 1979; 50 years in 2023. For Sciangai, which is celebrating its birthday, Zanotta, together with Sciangai’s designer Paolo Lomazzi, revisited this iconic hanger and put it into production.
The design, which resembles a deck of sticks folded on polished beech wood material and when unfolded, resembles Mikado trash, is also ergonomic.
With its bright and cheerful colors, each edition of the Sciangai 50 features unique numbers, making it a one-of-a-kind collector’s item.
