Designed by Roberto Lazzeroni in 2015, Sleeping Muse is a bed made of solid American walnut with a veneered plywood base.
The headboard is very high and padded, curved as if to embrace the bed. It is flanked by two side bands that support it and give it its characteristic appearance. The long legs on which the bed rests elevate the entire piece of furniture, while the footboard is upholstered in fabric or leather for even more sumptuous comfort.
Minimizing the wooden elements allows the flooring to shine, a solution that enhances the monumental effect of the design. This is in line with the idea of luxury, which also inspired Neverfull’s design. This was followed by the creation of the Sleeping Muse bench, specially designed to be placed at the end of the bed. It has an American walnut structure and a padded seat upholstered in fabric or leather. While the Sleeping Muse bench is designed to accompany the Sleeping Muse bed, it has proven to be highly versatile; it can equally hold its own alongside other types of bed.
