BALANCE STATUS
The iconic Veliero bookcase reinvents the concept of balance, becoming the furniture poster child of Franco Albini’s forward-thinking work. Given its flexible use, this double-sided bookcase with solid wood uprights can act as a room divider, as a ‘furnished window’ looking into new scenarios in contemporary living.
In 1940, the Maestro made only one example of this iconic bookcase as a spatial anchor in the living room of his via De Togni house in Milan; the prototype was destroyed 20 years later.
The bold energy of this design library is channeled through a vibrant, complex, overhead structure that is also surprisingly linear.
