One of the most recognizable pieces of the Capitol Complex in Chandigarh, India, the solid wood chair, a tribute to Pierre Jeanneret, is distinguished by its unique construction in oak or teak with a Viennese cane seat.
The structure is composed of characteristic lateral supports that combine to form an inverted “V”, a technical solution already shared by many pieces in the Hommage à Pierre Jeanneret collection.
The woven backrest and seat along a wooden frame are elements common in the region, very similar to the use of local woods such as teak.
