A collection of elegant and lightweight tables designed by Piero Lissoni for Knoll.
The Grasshopper table collection combines pure, geometric forms and beautiful materials. Available as a single table or in sets of two and three, Grasshopper low tables bring a simple or dynamic sophistication to any space.
The elegance of the collection comes from the combination of thin table tops that almost seem to float in the air, combined with a structure made of very thin, high-performance cast steel elements. The Grasshopper table series is easily adaptable and adds an elegant touch to the private living room or public lounge area.
Piero Lissoni describes the collection as follows: “If this painting could be described in just two words, it would be large and light. Indeed, the grasshopper takes its name from the animal with six sensitive instruments for its legs. There are four of them here, equally tall and incredible but still perfectly functional. Above them sits a hill so thin that it looks like it could go up and blow up. It is such a weightless and compact object that it works perfectly with all the chairs in the Knoll range. And then, I wanted it to have the height of a classic table, a little lower than today’s, a few centimeters less to ensure a privileged delicacy around the table.
