Home Stories aims to explore the interior design of our homes.

Assemble discusses 20 iconic residential interiors dating from the present day to the 1920s by architects and designers such as Arno Brandlhuber, Lina Bo Bardi and Josef Frank, and artists such as Cecil Beaton and Andy Warhol. Featuring historical and contemporary photographs, drawings and plans, the book explores these case studies as important moments in the history of modern interiors.

Penny Sparke presents a concise history of the discipline of interior design, Alice Rawsthorn explores the role of gender, and Mark Taylor discusses the discourse of interior design in the twenty-first century. Adam Štech offers insights into the use of color in residential interiors and Matteo Pirola presents a detailed and richly illustrated chronology of key events in the history of interior design.
