Cassina continues its research into the furniture of the city of Chandigarh and adds the Kangaroo low armchair to the Hommage à Pierre Jeanneret Collection; a collection characterized by its basic forms and simple materials, a balance between modern European ideals and traditional Indian spirit. Made for the city’s General Hospital Hall, but also found in many private homes, this low chair is characterized by the “Z” shape of its sides, formed by an array of three indistinct triangular coplanar elements placed in continuity.
The Cassina Research and Development Center has the typical weaving inside the wooden frame, where, in addition to the historic teak version, the company offers two other variants, natural oak and stained black oak, produced in the historic carpentry workshop. An optional pillow is available for additional protection and comfort.
