Designer and architect Verner Panton created Panthella in 1971 together with Louis Poulsen. Panton’s figurative and playful design reflects his extraordinary personality. Panthella stands out as one of Panton’s most important design icons with its organic shape that reflects the softest form of light. Panton aimed to create a light in which both the stand and the shadow act as reflectors, combining it with organic shapes. With its unobtrusive light, Panthella is a fine example of Verner Panton’s brilliant understanding of creating atmospheric lighting. This lamp is used in bedrooms, living rooms, reception areas and many other areas.
The luminaire emits glare-free, soft and cozy lighting. The opal acrylic shade creates an atmosphere of diffused, cozy light due to the translucent shade, downward reflection from the inner shade and reflection from the trumpet body.
