PH 2/1 is designed according to the principle of a reflecting multi-shade system that creates a harmonious and dazzle-free illumination. The shadow design is based on a logarithmic spiral where the center of the light source is placed at the focal point of the spiral. Depending on whether diffused, warm or cold light is desired, the lower body is made of metal, painted in white glass, black, gold or silver.
It was designed for an exhibition in Paris, using incandescent bulbs as a light source, trying to create glare-free light, directing light where it is needed.
