Tatu by Santa & Cole are table and wall lamps originally designed in 1972. André Ricard designed it for Santa & Cole, creating an iconic design of Spanish popular culture. The designer was inspired by armadillos while reading about the fauna of Argentina during a transcontinental flight and noticed that his wife, who was sleeping nearby, was not disturbed by the light. This is how the idea for an extraordinary pop art design was born. Santa & Cole’s new and modern edition combines pop art aesthetics with contemporary lighting technology.
