Since the 1980s, Vitra has been building in collaboration with some of today’s leading architects, including Zaha Hadid, Frank Gehry, Tadao Ando, SANAA, Álvaro Siza, Nicholas Grimshaw and Herzog & de Meuron.
The Vitra Campus currently attracts more than 350,000 visitors each year. While the famous Vitra Design Museum offers rotating exhibitions, Schaudepot gives visitors an insight into parts of the museum’s extensive collection. During their time at the Campus, visitors can also take part in a guided architectural tour or workshop, enjoy the view from the Vitra Slide Tower and then slide down the 37-meter-long slide to experience furniture classics and new ones. Enjoy the products from the Vitra Home Collection at VitraHaus, as well as the opportunities offered by shops and cafes.
With nearly 200 illustrations, Vitra Campus offers an overview of Vitra architecture, its daily use, the evolution of the Campus and biographies of the architects. Ideal as a souvenir, in preparation for a visit, as a Campus guide or as a fascinating read about some of the most important architects of our time and their buildings.
