The Utrecht armchair by Gerrit Thomas Rietveld is one of Cassina’s most recognizable pieces. It stands out for its infallible graphic repetition, punctuated by the juxtaposition of elements forming right angles.
The outdoor version retains the features of the larger Utrecht XL model intact. The materials have been carefully studied for use in outdoor environments. To prevent water penetration, a layer of recycled PET fibers is laminated with a waterproof lining that wraps around the inner metal structure and Okoume wooden armrests.
