Yuh Table Lamp
Danish-Italian design duo GamFratesi designed Yuh for Louis Poulsen in 2017. Initially launched in black and white, the family was expanded with versions featuring brass and marble. One of the most important features of the lamp is that it is personalized. The light is flexible and takes up little space. It can rotate, rise and fall, illuminating the desired space and creating ambience. The form of the shadow is geometrically determined by its movement on the body. A minimalist look created from a circular shape at the bottom of the canopy to a linear opening at the top. The name Yuh is the phonetic form of the word “you” and the letters represent the sound the voice makes to say “you”.

The luminaire primarily provides glare-free, downward-directed light. The angle of the shadow can be adjusted to optimize light distribution. The thin opening at the top of the canopy provides soft upward illumination of the environment. The mechanical system allows great freedom of movement, so that the light can always be adjusted to the ideal position in the work area, living room, etc.
