The famous architect duo Federico Correa and Alfonso Milá once again enlisted the help of designer Miguel Milá, Alfonso’s younger brother, for this project. They were commissioned to design the lighting in the new office of the Mayor of Barcelona, Pasqual Maragall. The administrative office would also be visited by a large part of the international political community and was in urgent need of a renovation that would showcase the high standards of Barcelona design on the world stage. Santa Cole produced the original lamps and in 1995 the company began limited production of a series of lamps named after the mayor’s wife. The Diana lamp is slim, robust and well-defined, retaining the elegance and definition that characterizes the whole family. Diana effortlessly combines a classic air with a modern design, both at home and in the office.
