These are reconfigured according to the traditional flexible reading lamp to provide flexibility of movement. The design is simple, yet versatile in function: it features a rotating arm and an adjustable head. It can create localized beams of light for working, reading or writing; in a room, a hotel lobby or an office. The Gira lamp depicts the simplicity and distinct profile of a classic. It is a natural part of Barcelona’s design history. Created in 1978 by Ferrer, Massana and Tremoleda, the lamp was originally produced by Mobles 114, an organizing company founded by Massana and Tremoleda. It has won international acclaim, awards and has been featured in exhibitions around the world.
