The Ripple cabinet is the perfect synthesis of the designer’s artistic vision, inspired by the fluidity and adaptability of water and the texture of metal that the company has mastered. The result is a sinuous, polymorphous volume in which soft lines create reflections on a metal surface shaped by De Castelli’s masterful processes.
Although seemingly impenetrable, the cabinet reveals two treasure chest-like storage spaces hidden from view thanks to concave facades designed to open 180 degrees. Like an object shaped and polished by the slow, constant undulating movement of water, Ripple is a sculpture to be admired from every angle, moving around it to follow its defining curves, the resonance of the metal and the shadows softened by its surfaces.
