Bean Executive Desk

Designed in 1990 by Roberto Lazzeroni, this table is named after its unique bean-like form. With its elegance in aesthetic and technical details, it reflects the excellence of Made in Italy and Ceccotti Collezioni, combining the designer’s vision, material excellence, artisanal finesse and industrial precision.

The Bean table is made of solid American walnut and consists of 346 pieces. These pieces are assembled over two weeks, without the use of any screws, only the craftsmen’s handwork. This is followed by twelve hours of surface finishing and eight hours of coloring.

Each stage of production is carried out faithfully to traditional furniture-making techniques and with great attention to detail; the process represents a handcrafted rigor that goes beyond mass production. Even today, manual and visual inspections are used to check the alignment between drawers, such as placing millimeter-thick sheets of paper between them.

The wide top opens to reveal a leather writing surface and storage space with internal compartments. It is made from 1 mm thick poplar veneer plywood, a distinctive feature that increases its durability and value compared to standard veneers, which are usually 0.5-0.6 mm thick. The desk also features an internal storage area and brass pencil holders on the sides in a satin nickel finish. Of the eight drawers (four on each side) that complete the set, the top drawer is fitted with maple dividers.

The Bean table is available in two different sizes and can be customized with a special kit that includes maple drawers, dividers, leather drawer bases, brushed brass details and a personal name plate.
