The Belleville Chair from the Vitra collection is inspired by classic French bistro furniture from the Belleville neighborhood of Paris. Slim, elegant and made of new materials, the Belleville collection is a contemporary interpretation of classic French bistro design.

The Belleville Chair Plastic consists of two components: a frame structure made of plastic and a wooden seat. The thin black frame, following the calligraphic lines of the legs and back, supports a thin shell that tapers from a wide seating surface to a narrow backrest. The seat shell contrasts with the existing frame, available in different colors (cream, basalt, teal and moss grey) or in a dark black monochrome.

Stackable bistro chair

Loosely based on French coffee house culture, the Vitra Belleville Plastic Chair can be stacked up to 6 pieces. Therefore, the Vitra chair is not only suitable for private use, but also for object space, cafes, waiting rooms or other interiors where chairs can be stored in a space-saving way if necessary.

The 2-component structure of the chair offers many possibilities of arrangement. The frame is made of black plastic, while the seat frame is available in various materials and finishes. As a plastic variant, the Chair with matching seat shell is available in 5 different colors and is suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. With the matching Belleville outdoor table, the chair can be used as a modern garden chair.

Customizable More colors, varieties and materials

The chair offers more color and material options in wood, leather or fabric upholstery versions with matching seat shell and a frame made of deep black polyamide injection molding. These versions are designed for indoor use only, where they create exciting accents in living rooms, gallery rooms and cafés.
