It is a project that brings back an old artisan’s technique of blowing glass in a cage to create a bright and organic object, like a cocoon that stands or hangs in the room. Blowing gives slight irregularities in the shape of the glass and small air bubbles appear to float in the material. This makes each design unique. A deliberate choice by designer Enrico Franzolini, the simple metal frame with its playful pattern gives the lamp a strong personality even when the lamp is off.
