The Hot Achille lamp is perfectly suited as a reading lamp or as stylish accent lighting in the corner of the living room. Height adjustable, directional and dimmable, it offers flexible lighting and takes up very little space.
It is a filigree lighting object that extends to the floor and is connected to a wall socket by an electric cable. The reflector can be rotated in full range (360 degrees) and its height can be adjusted in the range of 100 cm. The light is dimmed and switched on and off via a sliding dimmer on the cable. Hot Achille was first designed by Ingo Maurer and his team in 1994 and has been permanently available with integrated LEDs since 2019.
The cable is simply suspended from a small ceiling fixing and tightly tensioned with a small counterweight suspended only a few centimeters above the floor. The reflector is located on a bent metal rod which, thanks to its shape, holds the vertical cable in a fixed position, but can be moved on it. Hidden stops limit the range to one meter.
