These special editions, part of a ‘durable’ series with circular materials in favor of greater sustainability, studied together with the Le Corbusier Foundation and the heirs of Pierre Jeanneret and Charlotte Perriand, highlight the importance of color for the designers and result in a fresh and even more realistic proposal for today’s homes.
STAGING MODERNITY
On the occasion of the 60th anniversary of Cassina’s organization of the Le Corbusier®, Pierre Jeanneret®, Charlotte Perriand® Collection, Formafantasma presents an artistic installation and theatrical performance inside the Teatro Lirico Giorgio Gaber that pays homage to the company’s avant-garde heritage.
This thoughtful and provocative intervention questions the dissonance between modernist ideals and the contemporary world, inviting visitors to reflect on an ever-evolving vision that moves away from the industrial and rational, embracing instead a wild, natural ecology.
During Milan Design Week, under the direction of Fabio Cherstich, an immersive theatrical experience is being realized as an integral part of the installation. The performance is based on three original texts commissioned from philosopher Emanuele Coccia, architect, writer and curator Andrés Jaque and architect and artist Feifei Zhou (terriStories).
