Parantesi Pendant
Inspired by the parenthesis symbol, Achille Castiglioni and Pio Manzù designed this lamp in 1971.
“The original idea for Parentesi was Pio Manzù’s. He designed a cylindrical box with a fixed vertical boom and a slot for the light that moved up and down: you could stop it using a screw. There are three different color finishes – Black, Red and White.
The lamp moves vertically by sliding a shaped steel tube, painted or nickel-plated, over a 4000 mm long steel cable running from ceiling to floor.
-Armature head made of injection molded black elastomer.
-There is an electronic dimmer on the cable that allows the light brightness to be adjusted.
-Electrical cable length 400 cm.
-Maximum 2 lighting heads can be on one cable. It comes out of the box as 1 piece. The second head must be added separately.
