Pirkka Bar Chair

The Pirkka Bar Stool was originally designed as a seat to cool off after a sauna. Its design utilizes traditional Finnish furniture to blend perfectly into modern interiors. The legs are made of solid birch and the seat is made of two pieces of curved pine. The opening in the center of the seat serves as a handle to easily move the stool. The Pirkka Stool is available in two heights and is part of a collection of stools, chairs and tables that form the culmination of Ilmari Tapiovaara’s interest in synthesizing tradition with modernity.
