Super idea

What we are talking about here are the children of Superstudio. In other words, at a certain date when everything had to be criticized and rethought, at a time when Italian architecture was passionate and was now a legend, a group of young students from Florence wanted to change the world and they certainly managed to leave their mark in the world of design, at least in our world.

They started with the idea of the ‘continuous monument’ that envelops everything like a square magma, continued with the ‘histogram of architecture’ that produces furniture and ambiences whose ‘Super surface is a mental model of attitude’ without any effort, and finally reached the ‘Super idea’ that defeats time with a continuous regularity, deliberately written in black and white, conceptually revealed and theoretically closed, and finally produced the Quaderna collection, the most architectural elements in the history of furniture, which Aurelio Zanotta was ready to turn into a legend.

A family of unique and timeless furniture takes shape, an icon based on regular geometric shapes covered in square white laminate (created especially by Abet Print, designed by Superstudio and called Misura) and characterized by strict volumes, austere and perfection. A real “artificial landscape” that can be expanded as you wish, neutral and strong at the same time: a table and a single square “pedestal” top that transforms into space, as well as a chair, bed, bench, cabinet, stool.
