In 2005, the German studio Neuland Industriedesign designed for MDF Italia an elegant and sophisticated bookcase, characterized by irregularly arranged shelves, adding dynamism and rhythm to its structure. Random, one of the best-selling products from the collection, was selected for the XXI Compasso d’Oro ADI in 2006.
With Random, the bookshelf transforms from a simple functional container into a design sculpture. As one of the first to display objects instead of hiding them, it has become an expression of the individuality of those who use it: books, personal items and travel souvenirs find their place on its shelves, telling unique stories. A new way of living with and interpreting the library. Twenty years after its creation, Random remains one of the icons of the MDF Italia collection.
Available in 2C, 3C and 5C versions, the bookcase offers great compositional flexibility thanks to its wide range of modules, sizes and finishes. The color palette ranges from white and ivory to English green, burgundy and grey, in a refined Canaletto walnut veneer.
Perfect as a stand-alone piece for more intimate settings, it can also be arranged in larger compositions, playing with dimensions and colors to create visually striking configurations.
