Ringo Ceiling Lamp

The Ringo collection has above all a bold design: it is a large pendant or ceiling lamp that emphasizes material rather than form.

In essence, it has a simple geometric shape in volume, but its material is surprising; it resembles a block of ice, yet it is both solid and weightless at the same time. Its designer Joan Gaspar used transparent polycarbonate to create optical reflections, giving the impression of an organic design made of glass.

Its large size is in line with its function, as it is designed to illuminate large and very high spaces, from hotels to residences, and contemporary architectural projects that require a lot of light. Its transparency means that it easily adapts to the space, even when repeated. Ringo establishes a dialog between light and matter. When closed, it is a powerful object with a strong presence; when open, its transparency determines its volume and filters light. An interplay of opposites where light makes the material less dense and the design weightless.
