B&B Italia returns to the past with its new Softcage outdoor collection, inspired by the 1975 project by Mario Bellini, whose avant-garde vision opened new horizons in the use of rattan as a precious material for furniture, combining bold shapes with timeless elegance.
Today, this iconic concept is reinterpreted through B&B Italia’s innovation lens to give life to a collection that preserves the magic of the handmade rattan and blends it with contemporary aesthetics. In this new interpretation, the supporting structure is characterized by softer and more ergonomic shapes, thanks to the base under the seat and backrest, both inclined and suspended.
Available in rattan material in black, dark red and beige-gray colors and consisting of two different sofas and even an armchair, the Softcage series can be personalized with a range of colors and fabrics, allowing spaces to gain a characteristic style.
