VL 45 Radiohus Portable Lamp

Inspired by Vilhelm Lauritzen’s famous Radiohus VL 45 pendant lamps, the VL 45 Portable lamp can be taken anywhere indoors and outdoors to create light and ambience with its classic blown opal glass.

Iconic Danish architect Vilhelm Lauritzen designed the VL 45 Radiohus pendant lamp for the gesamtkunstwerk (Danish Broadcasting House, Radiohuset) in the 1940s. The original name of the pendant lamp was “Office Lamp”. Historic photographs capture the VL 45 Radiohus lamp above the Eames Lounge Chair in the 1950s Los Angeles home and studio of iconic American couple Charles and Ray Eames. Today, the design retains its lighting advantages and a sophisticated look and feel that is well suited to today’s interior trends.
