Description
Modular carpet for exterior and interior spaces.
The decorative motif consists of hexagonal forms of different sizes and shapes, positioned according to a predetermined scheme, and is embroidered by hand with plain or two-color, plain braids of yarn thread. The weaves are sewn with a zigzag stitch to strips of Kimia fabric of different widths, using a matching or contrasting colored thread. The fabric strips, the number of which varies according to the size of the rug, are joined lengthwise with a plain weave of yarn thread.
One color can be chosen for the backing and up to four colors for the decor.
To achieve the best possible color yield and aesthetics from the selected colors, the position and number of patterns for each carpet are examined each time. The short edges of the rug have small tassels embroidered with cords.
Materials and production techniques suggest that Ayla should not be used in heavily used areas.
