Description
Designed by Formafantasma, Telegram is a collection of rugs woven with personal messages selected by cc-tapis artisans, celebrating the freedom to express their own messages beyond the boundaries of design.
To embroider the rugs, artisans meticulously twist yarns of natural Himalayan wool into knots to create a rectangle from which the final free-form shape of the cc-tapis rug is cut. Corners and sections are often left to be cut off as surplus, creating a mix of motifs with names, places and thoughts that each rug maker values.
A hand-woven note to people in other parts of the world and a tribute to the human being behind the masterful craftsmanship.
