Capelli Stool

Inspired by the interlocking fingers, it was named after the flowing tufts of hair.

Although the Italian word “capelli” means “hair”, it was designer Carol Catalano’s intertwined hands that inspired her to create the Capelli Stool. Like interlocking fingers, the two identical plywood pieces of the stool are locked together without any tools or fasteners. You can use Capelli as a seat or side table, or take it apart for practical storage when not in use.

A Genius Touch of Adaptability

The intertwined “fingers” at the top of each piece form the support points that keep the stool firmly in place.

An Elegant Contrast

Each piece of molded plywood consists of alternating dark and light stained hardwood inner layers with a light ash veneer.

Simple and Efficient

When disassembled, the two halves of Capelli can be efficiently stacked and stored. To reassemble the stool, simply put the “fingers” back together. No tools, no fasteners, no hassle required.
