Do Maru Armchair
The small armchair Do-Maru is named after the ancient armor worn by samurai warriors, consisting of painted and decorated thick leather plates that cover and protect the hero’s body. Like the 2014 Almora swivel armchair designed by Doshi-Levien, once again the shell of the armchair is made up of several superimposed bodies softened by paddings that can be covered with fabric or leather.
The cast aluminum back support boldly accentuates the tapered profile of the small seat, while the front support is tubular metal with different finishes, worked to match the colors of the body.
