In the designer’s words, “I wanted to use gorgeous colors that evoke a sense of grandeur through the majesty associated with marble. At the same time, I didn’t want to overwhelm the eye, so a balance had to be struck between this opulence and the functionality and lightness of the tables.”
Instead of the high-gloss look usually associated with marble, the designer chose a matt finish to bring a more contemporary touch to the stone, emphasizing the specific qualities of the stones through this subdued process.

About Salvatori
Salvatori was founded in 1946 in Querceta, Tuscany, near the Carrara marble quarries. In 1950, founder Guido Salvatori invented the "split surface" coating, in which the stone opens up to reveal the textured surface inside. In the early 2000s, it started producing bathroom products such as bathtubs and washbasins as well as textures. More recently, the company introduced the Home Collection, starting with tables to enhance their appeal and then expanding into areas such as lighting, storage solutions and accessories.
