Following the great success of Borea, Piero Lissoni and B&B Italia continue to pursue research and sustainability in the outdoor sector by creating Nooch, a modular seating system named after the tropical botanical garden of Nong Nooch in Thailand.
The key feature of the seat is the tubular structure made of recycled aluminum, a light and strong material that is fully recyclable. A choice inspired by simplicity, recalling the basic tubular structures and elevating them with a design that pays attention to every detail. The intersection of the structural elements represents the iconic feature of this collection, with its special elbow curve obtained by bending aluminum. A design and engineering detail that combines function and beauty.
The infills are designed with sustainability in mind. They use regenerated materials consisting of two layers of polyurethane with different density and tightness, which can be completely separated: a layer made of polyurethane recycled from production waste and a layer made of virgin bio-polyurethane, both wrapped in an outer sheath of recycled PET.
