Designed by Edward Barber and Jay Osgerby for Cassina, the Tamburound collection expands and introduces a new, functional Tamburound armchair with playful and dynamic features.
The Tamburound Armchair by Cassina is a creation of the British duo Edward Barber and Jay Osgerby, who developed the eponymous armchair series with an informal and versatile design. One of the aspects that makes the product unique is the full rotation of both the backrest and the seat: Tamburound’s internal mechanisms resemble the movements of satellites orbiting a planet. Independent rotation allows complete freedom of movement in all directions in an extremely simple way.
Compared to the Tamburound Small Armchair, the Tamburound Armchair stands out with its larger, more voluminous size and structure that minimizes the use of foamed elements. Cassina is committed to reducing the environmental impact of its products and, together with Tamburound, is committed to using circular materials.
Its rounded volume makes it a youthful armchair, particularly suitable for relaxed and convivial environments.
